Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, allegedly agreed to pay $500,000 to have their two daughters falsely designated as USC crew team recruits.

The Hallmark Channel has announced it is cutting ties with Lori Loughlin, who starred in the network's show "When Calls the Heart", after she was arrested on a charge of mail fraud in connection with the widespread college admissions bribery scheme.

"We are saddened by the recent news surrounding the college admissions allegations", Crown Media said in a statement to HuffPost.

Hallmark Cards Inc. says it will no longer working with Loughlin and has stopped development of all productions involving her. She allegedly paid $15,000 for the college consultant company to help her elder daughter cheat on her college placement exams and was released on $250,000 bail.

Technology giant Hewlett Packard also removed an ad featuring Loughlin and daughter, Olivia Jade Giannulli, 19.

Federal authorities allege that Giannulli, Loughlin and other wealthy individuals paid a combined $25 million to bribe college coaches and administrators to doctor test results and falsify athletic records for their children.

One day after receiving the go-ahead to return to Vancouver and resume filming her various Hallmark Channel projects, Lori Loughlin has been dumped by the company. She appeared in Los Angeles federal court Tuesday looking visibly exhausted, before posting $250,000 bail and surrendering her passport. When Calls the Heart is now airing its sixth season.

The New York City native with a sunny smile proved a good fit for the channel that specializes in romantic dramas and comedies with a wholesome touch, while her media-friendly personality allowed her to expertly tout her shows on her website and in TV appearances.

Loughlin and Desperate Housewives alum Felicity Huffman were both indicted on Tuesday, March 12, as part of Operation Varsity Blues, a federal investigation into the scam.

While Stewart may exemplify her business, Loughlin wasn't the only engaging star on Hallmark's roster. "Full House" co-star Candace Cameron Bure and Lacey Chabert are among its popular holiday movie stars, and a new one emerged this year as Kellie Pickler's "Christmas At Graceland" emerged as the most-watched entry.
