Always looking for a motivational edge, Australia coach Justin Langer asked his charges to cast their minds back to November as they prepared to face India in Delhi.

He expected every player travelling with the team to England to do well, and there are no excuses for their performances in the ODI series against Australia.

India played 11 matches in Australia earlier this summer, squaring off in three Twenty20s, four Tests and three one-dayers.

Langer was proud of his troops after the drought-breaking series win.

"People have written us off for quite a while now", said Finch. "It's a tough place to come and play cricket, against a very good side", Khawaja said.

After Australia's fantastic series win against India, cricket pundits are urging selectors to keep the Australian team intact for the World Cup.

With the 50-over World Cup coming up in a a couple of months, Katich asserted that the Australians will have plenty of options whey they get down to the task of selecting the squad for the marquee tournament.

"We know how hard it is to win in India", Langer said. "Being down 2-0 it would have been easy to roll over".

Kedar Jadhav (44) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (46) threatened to deny Australia with a 91-run partnership, but Pat Cummins and Jhye Richardson removed them in successive balls and India ultimately fell some way short on 237 all out, losing their last wicket to the final ball of the innings. India have been playing non-stop cricket since the fag end of the a year ago when they toured Australia, New Zealand.
