As for the United Kingdom, we don't know yet (and there were very few 45th Anniversary cars over here), though there's surely going to be some demand for a 50th special, so stay tuned.

The two-tone livery pays homage to a particularly famous 240Z, namely the #46 "Brock Racing Enterprises" Datsun that driver John Morton drove to several overall wins in America's premier sports auto racing series, the SCCA National Championships.

According to chief engineer Hiroshi Tamura, few cars possess the GT-R's performance and that over the years, Nissan's engineers have tried to improve what was already rated as mechanical perfection, which is no easy task if you ask us.

"After the BRE 240Z debuted in 1970, Nissan/Datsun became one of the most successful companies in American motorsports - with thousands of victories over the past five decades".

No further excuse needed, then, for Nissan to bring back Bayside Blue - or Wangan Blue, as it's also known - for the 50th Anniversary GT-R. The 370Z Sport model is the foundation for the 50th Anniversary model, as it represents the true enthusiast spirit of the original model.

The special edition is based on the 370Z Sport and has a two-tone livery that mimics the BRE race vehicle. The two small stripes on the side are painted on as well. All models will come with a 50th Anniversary badge on the back, as well as "50th Anniversary" script written on the back above the rear license plate.

The vehicle has LED daytime running lamps and high-intensity discharge bi-functional xenon headlights with auto on/off. What it's not adorned with is the rear spoiler, deleted on this special edition.

He also highlighted that the USA was not actively engaged in hostilities, except against al-Qaeda extremists. The U-A-E, which is also involved in the Yemen war, hailed Trump's move as a positive signal.

The design incorporates a "layer concept" with an information layer, an operation layer and a holding layer.

Inside, you'll find a fresh grey colour scheme, along with items such model-specific steering wheel and shift knob trim, special seat embossing, Alcantara headlining (with special stitching) and Alcantara-wrapped sun-visors. Inside the auto is an interior that has special "50th Anniversary" badge on it and leather and suede heated 4-way power seats with adjustable lumbar support. The special edition also enhances the cabin with dark-chrome accents and faux-suede door panels.

Power comes from a familiar 3.7-liter V6 engine that produces 332 hp (248 kW / 337 PS) and 270 lb-ft (366 Nm) of torque. A seven-speed automatic is optional.

In the United States, the 2020 vehicle will be sold alongside the Premium, Track Edition and NISMO (we are getting to it soon, honest).

There's no additional power on offer, though: the extent of the changes to the 370Z 50th Anniversary Edition over the standard model are a number of visual changes, both inside and out. A double-wishbone suspension keeps everything planted in front while the rear gets a multilink setup.

The Nissan 370Z is old.
