President Donald Trump said Friday that there was no way for him to know that retired Army General Michael Flynn was under investigation while he was still campaigning in 2016.

The revelations appeared in an addendum to Flynn's sentencing memo with fewer redactions, filed Thursday. That included unnamed campaign officials' discussion of reaching out to WikiLeaks after it had released emails the Russians had stolen from the Clinton campaign.
A redacted version of Mueller's report released last month said that the evidence did not establish a criminal conspiracy between Russian Federation and the campaign.
