Recently, Iran has also warned the United States that although it does not want a conflict, it will defend itself at all costs.

President Donald Trump is flanked by Acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan, left, and Gen. Joseph Dunford, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, at the White House on April 3, 2019.

Additional pieces of intelligence picked up threats against commercial shipping and potential attacks by Arab militias with Iran ties on Americans on USA troops in Iraq. The skepticism extends to Congress, where lawmakers have largely been kept in the dark.

Fourth and probably most influential have been the Trump administration's hints about supposed new threat information, accompanied by deployments of military resources and other USA saber-rattling. Especially with John Bolton there by his side, egging him on to be tough?

Trump has denied that there's any infighting among his administration regarding Iran policy. Under the terms of the deal, Iran would receive relief from economic sanctions in exchange for reducing Iran's nuclear material and uranium enrichment.

"Iran and China need to think together and work together about preserving a multilateral global order and avoiding a unilateral global order", Zarif said during a meeting with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi on Friday evening. The White House has ordered an aircraft carrier strike group and bomber wing to the region, as Bolton stated, "to send a clear and unmistakable message to the Iranian regime that any attack on United States interests ... will be met with unrelenting force". It's more accurate to say the Trump administration violated the JCPOA, because Iran was complying with the deal and was overseen by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) - who validated Iran's compliance 9 separate times.

Trump has taken a hard line on Iran since he took office in January 2017.

In withdrawing from the deal, Trump has fulfilled a campaign promise but achieved little else.

"My concern at the moment is that the administration [is] putting us on the path that is more likely to lead to armed conflict, not less, without great thought for the consequences", Schiff said. In January, Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats said in a congressional hearing, "we do not believe Iran is now undertaking the key nuclear weapons-development activities we judge necessary to produce a nuclear device".

We await an update about Fernandinho tomorrow from Guardiola. "We competed really well in both games in different moments. It started back in January with the win over Rotherham and in total we've won five games, scoring 20 goals along the way.

Other signatories to the deal the European Union, France, Britain, China and Russian Federation have been trying to salvage it.

Asked by reporters if the US was going to war with Tehran, the US President responded, "hope not", as he welcomed Swiss President Ulrich Maurerto the White House.

According to this narrative, the "Iran hawks" in the Trump administration - people like National Security Adviser John Bolton, or Secretary of State Mike Pompeo - sense an opportunity.

In reality, Iran was complying with the deal, and as Schiff points out, Trump simply didn't offer any credible rationale for pulling out of it.

Persuasive details about new threats may never come, but they aren't necessary for the administration to have the desired effect on public attitudes about Iran.

The Post reported that Trump has been angry and annoyed recently over what he believes is "warlike planning" from his top advisers, including Bolton, who has advocated for regime change in Tehran.

Put simply, it appears Bolton may have cornered Trump into cornering Iran. As always, there is a tweet for everything.
