The Raptors lead the series 3-1 with a chance to claim their first National Basketball Association championship on Monday night.

The last meaningful update concerning Durant's right calf strain was issued after Game 3 when coach Steve Kerr informed the media that KD was "nudging closer to a return" with no particular date in mind.

The Warriors are listing Durant, who has been sidelined for more than a month with a strained calf, as a "game-time decision" for Game 5 although ESPN reported that the 30-year-old intends to play. And not only will he play, but NBC Sports Bay Area's Monte Poole reports that Durant will be in the starting lineup.

"He will be very welcomed", Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson said Sunday to reporters. "We'll see where it goes".

Indeed he will, and possibly just one day away.

"You worry about the conditioning", Kerr said.

In rebuttal, Pelosi is quoted in the statement saying that "the only thing sweeter than watching Golden State once again become world champions is doing so while enjoying a selection of Canada's finest". He's been in similar situations with us where he's had long layoffs. "And at this point he's still not ready".

Kevin Durant has been cleared to practice with the Warriors and the 2019 NBA Finals has taken another turn. But, Durant at even 60 or 70 percent would provide a big boost to the Warriors, who have looked lost without him at times against the Raptors. "He's Kevin Durant. So, if we have him out there, he'll be a threat, we know that".
