The grocery delivery market is heating up and that's good news for consumers. In this regard, Walmart has introduced an unlimited grocery delivery service called delivery unlimited. The service is an expansion of the company's existing delivery and pickup efforts and costs $98 a year. TechCrunch noted that this new annual subscription will cost $98 for a year, or $12.95 every month, and enables users to skip the per-order fee.

Walmart is offering a 15-day free trial of its subscription-based delivery service in a bid to bring customers on board. This removes the need to pay a per-order fee, which costs around $10.

Walmart's standard $10 delivery service fee coupled with a $30 order minimum makes economic sense for the retailer, and it promotes the sort of stock-up shopping trip that a lot of its customers like to do. While both options remain available, Delivery Unlimited offers a third choice - one that's likely to look attractive for shoppers who hit Walmart's online store on a regular basis.

As you can see, the fees are fairly similar across numerous different offerings, leaving each individual customer to find the store and service that suits them best. The other delivery services like Shipt today charges $99 annually, and Target announced this week that a way for Shipt shoppers to pay a per-order fee of $9.99 for the first time, with a Shipt integration on Target.com.

The organization previously offered a delivery service for online requests: clients could have things shipped to their nearest store for free, or to their home for a $9.95 delivery fee for each order. Prime also includes free delivery on millions of non-grocery items and access to Prime Video, ebooks, and more. The official Walmart FAQ mentioned no subscription option at this time, plus there's been no formal announcement regarding the service. Walmart now uses third-party companies like DoorDash and Roadie to ferry groceries from its stores to shoppers' homes.
