The decision to let Dhoni bat so low down the order garnered severe criticism from the cricketing world.

India displayed a poor show with their batting in the semi-final game of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 against New Zealand.

A recent report in Mumbai Mirror nearly confirms that irrespective of the legendary cricketer retiring from global cricket or not, he will continue to lead Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League next year. Yuvraj, who was Man of the Tournament in the 2011 World Cup, also expressed surprised over Ambati Rayudu not getting his due after a series failure.

"And Rishabh Pant did look pretty secure when he got out to bat, even against (New Zealand fast bowler) Trent Boult, didn't he?" What panned out later worked against Rayudu as he took a dig at selection committee in his tweet, that also marked the end of Rayudu's worldwide career. The CSK batsman was persisted with for a while before being dropped completely.

John McEnroe issues Serena Williams warning after Simona Halep wins Wimbledon
Serena Williams just lost the Wimbledon final , but that won't stop her from fighting another battle - against inequality. Halep, charm and joy personified, agreed she had never played better. "I just came out on court to do my best".

"It was disappointing to watch what they did with Rayudu. He got runs in New Zealand but after three or four bad innings, he got dropped", Yuvraj Singh told The Times of India. However, the veteran wicket-keeper was expected to hang up his boots post the completion of India's World Cup campaign in England & Wales. However, Yograj Singh believes MS Dhoni used his influence with the then BCCI President to drop these legendary players from the team. If No. 4 is a crucial position in ODI cricket, if you want someone to do well in that position, you will have to back him. But Dhoni was sent in to bat after Dinesh Karthik who came in at No. 5 followed by Hardik Pandya, raising quite a few eyebrows. Finally, we don't know what their plan was for No 4. If Rohit and Virat would get out early, we could get into trouble and everyone knew about that.

"We needed his experience later". While Rayudu hasn't said anything about his retirement or his tweet, Indian legend Yuvraj Singh has spoken on the matter. It is unfortunate how they dealt with the whole situation.

Suddenly, the selectors felt the need of change and they ignored Rayudu for World Cup, naming Vijay Shankar as designated number four batsman.
