WWE released a statement to several media outlets saying Hardy is "responsible for his own personal actions".

Myrtle Beach Online reported that police were called to the Ocean Enclave by Hilton Grand Vacations hotel for a report of an intoxicated man at approximately 11:15 a.m.

This is the second time Hardy has been arrested in the past 18 months, with the former United States Champion booked for driving while impaired last March.

Jeff Hardy was arrested Saturday morning in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on suspicion of public intoxication and impairment, according to TMZ Sports. Hardy is still expected to return to the WWE ring soon after undergoing knee surgery back in May. The next year he was arrested after law enforcement conducted a search in his home, booking him for drug-related charges.

Hardy, who has for years starred alongside his brother Matt as one half of the tag team the Hardy Boys, has a history of arrests and substance abuse.

WWE, however, will likely look to find a way to manage the situation to stop it from happening again and ending in much worse circumstances that what it did this time around.
