Sixteen months after their dramatic win over Australia sent the profile of English netball soaring to new heights, Tracey Neville's squad made a winning start to their World Cup campaign at a packed Liverpool Arena.

England beat Scotland 70-34 to to qualify for the second preliminary stage of the Netball World Cup.

Not even Vincent Kiwanuka's switch in defense in which he introduced Stella Nanfuka for Sylvia Nanyonga at wing defense, Muhayimina Namuwaya at goalkeeper with Nampungu going to goal defense could change the tide of the game as She Cranes were outscored 13-8 in the third quarter.

"They are a very hard team to play, they lost a bit of consistency and their heads, however they very rarely play at that global level and I am sure they will learn from that". England will finish top of the group if they win.

Harten's replacement Rachel Dunn seized her chance in admirable fashion with 49 goals in 52 attempts as the Scots, seeking positives ahead of a tough final group game against Uganda on Sunday, struggled to keep pace.

The police report stated Herndon crashed into and totaled a Toyota Land Cruiser, which was transporting a vintage automobile. He quickly became a favorite target of fellow Sam Darnold , scoring a touchdown in three consecutive games in October.

The different priorities of both teams were made plain by memories of the last time they met, when England's 74-28 triumph on the Gold Coast set them off on their dramatic Commonwealth Games gold medal journey previous year.

Proscovia's excellent interruptions held England back early on before their power in the centre began to tell and they turned a 15-6 lead at the end of the first quarter into a relatively emphatic 31-18 advantage at half-time.

In front of another raucous crowd, England ultimately cruised over the line, although Dunn said she was unaware of the notable accomplishment of scoring from all of her first 21 shots on target. "It was a good start but we've got more work to do".

After a false start, the She Cranes will be hoping to regroup as they take on Samoa on Saturday while England face a familiar foe in Scotland.
